Depression to bring more rains
Visakhapatnam, June 21 (UNI) A depression has formed over east central Bay of Bengal and lay centred about 430 km east-south east of Kakinada this morning.
The cyclone warning centre in a special bulletin here today said the depression was likely to intensify further and move in a West-North-Westerly direction and cross north coastal Andhra Pradesh between Narsapur and Visakhapatnam by tomorrow afternoon.
Under its influence, rain or thundershowers were likely at many places with heavy spells at one or two places over Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, Srikakulam, East and West Godavari, Krishna and Prakasam districts of coastal Andhra Pradesh during the next 48 hours.
Squally winds with speeds reaching 50 to 60 kmph was likely along and off coastal Andhra Pradesh.
Local cautionary signal no three was hoisted at Kalingapatanm, Bheemunipatnam, Visakhapatnam, Kakinda, Machilipatnam, Nizamapatnam and Vadarevu ports.
The sea would be rough to very rough. Fishermen were advised not to venture into the sea, it added.
