Bomb hoax delays Bangladesh flight
Kolkata, June 21 (UNI) A Bangladesh call of planting a bomb in JMG flight not only scared the Kolkata Airport and its authorities here late in the evening today but also delayed its departure for Dhaka by more than an hour, Airport sources said.
The sources said that the Air traffic control here at Dum Dum received a call from the Jia International Airport in Dhaka that a bomb was reportedly planted in the JMG flight that reached Kolkata from Dhaka this evening.
The flight was scheduled to be back to Dhaka leaving Kolkata airport at 2135 hours with 32 passengers on board.
The Airport authority soon raised alarm and arranged for checking up, de-embarking all its passengers minutes before tabe off.
Incidentally, thorough checking by the bomb disposal squad revealed that nothing was found in the aircraft making the call hoax and later the flight took 65 minutes after the schedule time, official sources from the airport said.
