2 arrested with brown sugar worth crores

Gorakhpur, June 21 (UNI) Two youth were arrested for smuggling 700 grams of brown sugar in the Cantonment here.

Police late last night intercepted three motorcycle-borne during routine checking on Station road, where the duo were nabbed with the consignment, police said today. Their aide managed to escape.

The accused had been identified as Ramsaran Bora of Nepal and Manish Kumar of Gonda.

The seized consignment is estimated at crores of rupees in the international market.

A case had been registered and police is trying to trace the absconding person.
