Bihar: Two policemen killed in naxal attack

Patna, Jun 20: Two personnel of Government Railway Police (GRP) were killed and four others injured when a group of naxalites attacked Kathgodam Express at a Railway crossing near Sonepur Railway station under East Central Railway today.

Police said that a group of naxalites opened fire on Howrah-bound Kathgodam Express as soon as it reached near Sonepur railway satation.

Two personnel of GRP were killed and four others sustained injuries in the incident, police added.

At least three passengers were also injured in the naxal attack.

Senior police and civil officers rushed to the spot following the incident.

Raids were being carried out to nab the naxalites.
