Select ferrous metals ease

Mumbai, June 20 (UNI) Select ferrrous meatals eased due to lack of demand, traders at the Bombay Metal Exchange said today.

In the ferrous section, copper utensils and brass cutting came down by Rs 100 per quintal because of thin buying support. Copper heavy, brass utensils and aluminium utensils were steady on moderate demand.

In the non-ferrous category, Nickel cathode declined by Rs 50 per kg on sustained heavy selling pressure by stockists.

Following are the spot metal prices per quintal: Ferrous metals: Copper heavy - Rs 35,000, Copper utensils - Rs 31,300, Brass utensils - Rs 25,500, Brass cuttings - Rs 27,000 and Aluminium utensils - Rs 11,400.

Non-ferrous metals: Copper wire bars - Rs 38,500, Aluminium ingots - Rs 13,600, Zinc slabs - Rs 19,000, Lead ingots - Rs 9,800, Tin slab - Rs 710 (per kg) and Nickel cathode - Rs 1,850 (per kg).
