Vadodara, June 20 (UNI) A fast-track court here has rejected the bail application of Jayanti Lakabhai Patalia, the main accused in the infamous ruby theft and murder case.

The bail plea was rejected by fast-track court magistrate J N Brahmbhatt last evening.

In January this year, Patalia had allegedly murdered three people -- Darshan Thakkar, his brother Mihir and Balakrishna Patel, to steal the ruby they were carrying.

The ruby belonged to Samir Jagot from Rajkot who had given it to Thakkar brothers, Patel and Patalia to carry to Indore for valuation.
