One killed as car runs over

Puducherry, June 20 (UNI) A 70-year-old woman was killed on the spot and another injured, when a car ran over them on Airport road at Kurunjinagar here today.

Police said the mishap occurred when the driver lost control of the car.

The deceased was identified as Bhuvanammal.

The injured Saroja, a road side vendor, was admitted to Government General Hospital here.

A search was on to nab the absconding driver, police added.
