NEDFi project for Micro finance management

Agartala, June 20 (UNI) The Northeast Development and Finance(NEDFi) has initiated a project to impart professional knowledge to Non-Government Organisations(NGOs) and Micro Finance Institutions (MFIs) in the North East.

Official sources here today said the NEDFi would organise training-cum-workshops on 'Managing Micro Finance Modules' across the region. The first workshop under the project had already been organised at Guwahati last week, in which 20 people participated, they added.

The training would cover Delinquency Management and Fund Management, especially areas like identification and tracking of delinquent accounts and portfolios and techniques of managing delinquency, along with funds and cash flow.

The programme was part of the NEDFi's initiative for capacity building of NGOs and MFIs so as to enable them to manage the Micro Finance operations efficiently and subsequently upscale it, official sources added.
