Bihar: NDA flayed for taking credit of prosecution
Patna, June 20: RJD today took strong objection to the credits being taken by the Nitish government for prosecution of the 1989 Bhagalpur riot accused and said it was the result of the groundwork done by the erstwhile Lalu-Rabri government.
State spokesman of the party and former minister Shakeel Ahmad Khan told media persons here that RJD government had prepared documents having sufficient evidences against the 14 accused of the Bhagalpur riot, who were convicted by the court yesterday.
''It was the effort of the RJD government which led to the life imprisonment to 90 accused of the Bhagalpur riot so far'', he added.
'' Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi, NDA leaders Shivanand Tiwari and Dr Jagannath Mishra are falsely claiming the credit of conviction of the Bhagalpur riot accused'' Mr Khan maintained.
