Minister inspects work on Ambedkar memorial

Puducherry, June 20 (UNI) Puducherry Welfare Minister M Kandasamy today inspected the construction site of 'Ambedkar Manimandapam' (memorial) at the Goubert Avenue here.

The minister, who went around the manimandapam directed the authorities to speed up the work and complete it soon.

Later, talking to newspersons, he said Dalit leaders would be invited to inspect the manimandapam and if they suggest for any alteration it would be considered.

Leaders from New Delhi would be invited for the inaugural function of the manimandapam, he informed.

Mr Kandasamy, who also visited the Adidravidar students hostel at Lawspet here, directed the officials to provide all facilities, including serving of quality food at the hostel.
