Low pressure persists

Hyderabad, June 20 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh will experience widespread rains as the morning's well marked low pressure area over east-central and adjoining west-central Bay of Bengal persisted, It is likely to concentrate into a depression by tomorrow and move in a west-northwesterly direction across north Andhra Pradesh, according to the Indian Meterological department.

Under its influence, Widespread rains with scattered heavy to very heavy falls were likely over Andhra Pradesh from tomorrow to June 23.

Isolated extremely heavy rains of more than 25 cm were also likely over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana during the period.

Rain occurred at a few places over Telangana in the last 24 hours. Isolated rain occurred over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema during the period.

Khammam and Visakhapatnam Airport had a high 3 each, Tandur (Rangareddy dist) 2 and Chittoor, Hakimpet AP, Nizamabad, Ibrahimpatnam and Vikarabad (both Rangareddy dist), Madhira (Khammam dist), Paleru Bridge (Krishna dist), Puttur (Chittoor dist) one each.

Hyderabad would have generally cloudy Sky. Rain or thundershowers were likely in some parts of city.
