Lightning kills 9 in Chhattisgarh

Jashpur, Chhattisgarh, June 20 (UNI) Nine people, including six children, were killed when lightning struck them in three places in tribal Jashpur district this evening, police said.

Seven people, including six children were killed here at about 1600 hrs. The deceased were identified as Sharna (3), Premkumar (7), Manisha (11), Vikram (12), Vimla (13), Deepak (15) and Sushila Devi (35).

One death each was reported from Bagalpur village and Kasabel locality.
