History-sheeter arrested, pistol seized

Basti, June 20 (UNI) Police today arrested a history-sheeter, who was wanted in several cases of loot and murder here.

Police Superintendent Anand Swaroop said Sanjay Chaudhary alias Lala was nabbed near Munderwa market, when he was riding a motorcycle.

A countrymade pistol and live cartridges were recovered from his possession.

Besides, Basti, Gorakhpur, Siddharthnagar, Sant Kabirnagar, Gonda, Bahraich, Shravasti, Balrampur and Faizabad districts, Sanjay's area of operation extended to the Himalayan kingdom of Nepal, Mr Swaroop informed.

Sanjay was also infamous as a contract killer.

Meanwhile, investigations were on.
