Cop slain in Chhattisgarh encounter

Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh, June 20 (UNI) A constable was killed and two were severely injured in a police patrol's encounter with naxals in Bastar district's Todasi forest this afternoon.

''The deceased was identified as Constable Anil Devangan.

Constables Umendra Tigga and Jeevan were rushed to Raipur for treatment,'' said Inspector-General R K Vij.

An additional force was rushed to the spot.
