Autorickshaw driver's murder solved

Bhopal, June 20 (UNI) City police today arrested six people for killing an autorickshaw driver who delivered LPG cylinders.

''Santosh was targeted by Kallu who indulged in black marketing along with others. Kallu's accomplice Inder even paid Rs 5,000 to those who committed the murder. A clue obtained at the scene of crime pointed to Kallu's involvement and he confessed. Knives used for the crime were seized from the accused,'' Superintendent of Police Anant Kumar Singh told reporters.

For the past year Santosh and Kallu were employed as delivery personnel at Pradeep Gas Agency. They sold some cylindres in the black market and the money thus obtained led to a dispute between the two. Sikander, Lale, Chhotu and Deepak Mishra were called from Jhansi district's Babina and planned the murder at a local hotel.

''On June 16, the accused injured Santosh in the neck and chest in Govindpura locality. Santosh was later rushed to hospital where he was pronounced dead. The team that cracked the case will receive a reward of Rs 5,000,'' the officer explained.
