5 people receive acid burns in attack

Lucknow, June 20 (UNI) Five people received severe burns, when a gram pradhan threw acid on them in Kanpur today.

The incident took place in Ghatampur area, where Gram Pradhan of Kothi Nauranga village Naushad Alam and his aides threw acid at five of them police said.

A trade dispute was the root cause behind the crime.

The injured were identified as Vijay Pal, Sanjay Shukla, Naresh, Ashok and Raj Narayan.

Two people, including one Naushad had been nabbed in connection of the crime.
