Three killed in rail accident

Kasargod, Jun 19 (UNI) Three people were killed when they were hit by a speeding train near Mayicha Railway overbridge near here early today.

One of the deceased was identified as Swaraj of Kurumathur near Taliparamba in the neighbouring district of Kannur, police said adding that details of others were not yet known.

The bodies have been sent to Pariyaram Medical College for post-mortem after preliminary inquest.

Authorities said they could not identify the train which hit them as many trains pass through the locality early morning.
