Student dies under mysterious circumstances

Phagwara, June 19 (UNI) A 21-year-old woman pursuing graduation course, died in her residence at Satnampura here after allegedly swallowing poisonous substance.

Police said according to her father Balwinder Behl, Ms Sherry, a student of B A first year, at the Kamla Nehru College was studying in her room sunday night when she started vomiting.

She was rushed to local civil hospital and later shifted to DMC Hospital, Ludhiana, where she died yesterday.

Family sources said, Sherry, who who was apprehensive about outcome of her results, might have swallowed some poisonous substance.

The body of the deceased was handed over to family members after conducting post mortem at the local civil hospital, police said.
