Robbers attack senior citizen's house

Mumbai, June 19 (UNI) Robbers attacked the house of a senior citizen at Chembur here and made away with cash and valuables to the tune of Rs one lakh, early today.

Police said around six robbers broke into the house of Subramanian Mahadevan (66), a former L and T Company Officer, by cutting window grills at around 0345 hours.

The robbers assaulted Mr Mahadevan and his wife and FLED with the cash and valuables, police said. Mr Mahadevan has said in his complaint that the robbers were speaking in Hindi and Marathi.
