Rane sets up RIED
Chennai, June 19 (UNI) Leading auto components manufacturer Rane has set up 'Rane Institute for Employee Development' (RIED). A training facility exclusively for its employees to foster learning and development.
Talking to reporters here today, company Chairman L Ganesh said ''to support the high growth in the auto industry, there was a need to invest in technology, create capacities, implement efficient production system and build competencies.'' ''RIED would play a vital role in providing training for building competencies and consulting for better production systems,'' he added.
He said ''RIED constructed on one acre plot at the cost of Rs 4.6 crore, is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and an ambience that is conducive to learning and self development.'' ''Other features include Wi-Fi enabled environment and library, energy efficient building envelope, high efficiency water system designed to reduce the impact of environmental pollution and maintenance of green house techniques,'' he explained.
''The facility will be formally inagurated by the Tata Motors Managing Director Ravi Kant on June 2007,'' he said.
