Pre-monsoon showers in MP

Bhopal, June 19 (UNI) The Southwest Monsoon is yet to break over Madhya Pradesh though pre-monsoon showers brought considerable relief from heat in several parts of the state.

A Regional Meteorological Centre official said that isolated overnight rain was recorded in every division except Indore. The period's precipitation figures were Datia 6 cm, Rewa, Malajkhand 4 cm each, Bhopal and Katni 3 cm each. The Monsoon has already registered its presence in neighbouring Chhattisgarh. Isolated rain is likely over the next 24 hours in every division of Madhya Pradesh.

The state capital witnessed drizzles in a few areas. Day temperature declined at almost all places in Madhya Pradesh.
