One shot dead, Rs 60,000 robbed

Firozabad, June 19 (UNI) Unidentified miscreants shot at two persons and robbed of Rs 60,000 from them in Sirsaganj area of the district today.

Police said the incident occurred when former armymen Ram Swaroop Singh was returning along with his son Toofan Singh from a bank, and the miscreants intercepted their motorcycle and snatched the bag full of money.

The two were shot at when they tried to resist. The injured were admitted to hospital, where Toofan succumbed.

An investigation was on.
