Nagaland: NSF supports KSU; Protection of minerals

Kohima, Jun 19: The Naga Students' Federation (NSF) has extended its solidarity and support to Khasi Students' Union for expressing their will for protection of rich mineral resources.

In a letter to the President of KSU written by the NSF President Imchatoba Imchen, copy of which issued for the press here today, he said as indigenous people it is everybody's right and duty to protect God's gifted resources from alien interests and vested groups who were trying to exploit the resources under the guise of development and progress.

The letter also said regardless of innovative policies and action plans moved by any government agency or company for their benefits at the cost of indigenous people, these have to be fought tooth and nail unless an acceptable, honourable and beneficial understanding is arrived at.
