No alternative to Dr Kalam : Mamata

Kolkata, June 19 (UNI) Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee today said there was no alternative to President A P J Abdul Kalam.

Strongly supporting Dr Kalam for a second term, Ms Banerjee said even Vice-President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat had vouched for Dr Kalam when he visited her.

She said Mr Shekhawat categorically told her that he had no opposition if Dr Kalam was the candidate for the Presidential elections.
