MPHC notices on river pollution

Jabalpur, June 19 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh High Court has issued notices to the state government, Collector and dairy owners following a public interest plea urging checking of pollution caused by dumping of excreta and other waste into the Gaur river in the local cantonment area.

Chief Justice Anang Kumar Patnaik and Justice Ajit Singh issued the notices yesterday while hearing the petition by school manager Glen Pal who alleged that dairy managers in Katiyaghat and Bilhari area were indulging in dumping.

Advocate Manish Verma was the petitioner's counsel while the government was represented by Advocate Samdarshi Tiwari.
