Modhwadia demands 2-week long Monsoon session

Gandhinagar, Jun 19 (UNI) The Leader of Opposition in the Gujarat Assembly Arjun Modhwadia has demanded a two-week long monsoon session.

In a letter to Chief Minister Narendra Modi, he said more time has to be given for discussion to address problems of the state.

Law and order, water scarcity. rising unemployment, falling standards of education, low economic growth rate and the prevalent corruption were among the isues that merit serious attention, Mr Modhwadia said.

In the past, the session would range between 10 to 30 days but in the BJP rule, during the last five years, it has shrunk to two to three days, he claimed.
