Prez polls: Manmohan Singh to meet Kalam

New Delhi, June 19: Even as the race for election to the highest post of the country is hotting up, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has sought an appointment with President A P J Abdul Kalam today.

Rastrapati Bhawan sources said the meeting between Dr Kalam and Dr Singh is scheduled at 1700 hrs.

Meanwhile, the "Third Front'' comprising eight regional parties, which has named Dr Kalam as its candidate for the President's post, will meet him tomorrow.
