Kingfisher, Lufthansa Technik sign pact for MRO services

New Delhi, June 19 (UNI) Kingfisher Airlines and Lufthansa Technik today extended an exclusive technical support contract for initially 17 aircraft to the new Airbus A320 fleet.

Over the next ten years, Lufthansa Technik will serve the airline's A320 family fleet via a total component support with the provision of components in Mumbai. The arrangement enables Kingfisher to participate in one of the world's largest pools for aircraft components.

Lufthansa Technik's Indian subsidiary One Stop Airline MRO Support will set up a regional component pool to support existing customers as well as future customers within India. The additional total engine support contract will cover a complete service for the IAE V2500-A5 engines of Kingfisher's A320 aircraft.
