Jacob, Dhawan inducted into CWC
New Delhi, June 19 (UNI) Senior Congress leaders M M Jacob and R K Dhawan were today inducted into the Congress Working Committee (CWC), the highest policy making body of the century-old party.
''Congress President Sonia Gandhi has nominated them as Permanent Invitees to the CWC,"AICC General Secretary Janardhan Dwivedi said here today.
He said Mr Jacob, who was Meghalaya Governor till recently, has been given charge of Jammu and Kashmir and Karnataka, while Mr Dhawan will be in charge of party affairs in Himachal Pradesh.
Defence Minister A K Antony is the in-charge of Karnataka and Tourism Minister Ambika Soni was looking after Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh.
