Driver shot dead

Kohima, Jun 19 (UNI) An unidentified gunman shot dead a driver on National Highway 39 between Piphima and Zubza late last night.

Official sources today said.

The truck was coming from Dimapur to Kohima when a bullet hit the driver on his head. The driver died on the spot and the truck hit a van injuring another person.

Police said investigation was on.

The body of the driver is being kept at the North Police station here and will be sent for post mortem.
