Croc killed, carcass sent for postmortem

Vadodara, Jun 19 (UNI) The carcass of a 12-foot crocodile was recovered from the Viswamitra river near Vidyakunj school in the district yesterday.

It is suspected that the crocodile must have been killed by its own species. But the Gujarat Animal Welfare Association has raised doubts over the crocodile's death and believes that foul play is involved.

Today the carcass was sent to a veterinary hospital and Dr Chaupal will be doing a post-mortem. The report is expected tomorrow.
