Chopper hit high tension wire, damaged

Dehra Dun, June 19 (UNI) A helicopter had to make an emergency landing after it hit a high tension wire in Pauri district of Uttarakhand today.

The chopper was on a return flight this morning after dropping Uttarakhand Health Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank at Pabo Development Block for a public meeting.

According to the Disaster Management Control Room sources, soon after taking off for the return journey, the helicopter's rotor hit a high tension wire and was damaged, leading the craft to make an emergency landing.

Both the pilots are safe.
