Burglars strike at industrial units

Puducherry, June 19 (UNI) Miscreants gained entry into a private industrial unit and decamped with properties and cash worth Rs 2.5 lakhs at Villianur near here last night.

According to police they broke open a rear window in the unit to gain entry and took away seven small machines and cash to the tune of Rs 22,000.

Following a complaint by Pazhanivel, the owner of the unit, Villianur police have registered a case.

Meanwhile, copper plates worth Rs 20,000 were stolen from another unit at Kirumambakkam two days ago. Police registered a case following a complaint by the owner.

UNI
