WB: 2 more police stations in North 24 Parganas

Barasat, Jun 18: Superintendent of Police Praveen Kumar has announced opening of two more police stations in the district.

''State government has already issued orders in this regard, '' he said.

One police station would be installed at New Town to cover parts of Rajarhat police stations and the areas of the new township while the other would be at Baguiati upgrading the existing outpost.

This would bring the number of police stations in the state to 40.

He said that Paresh Roy, who was the in-charge of Beejpur police station would take charge of the Baguiati police station while the Sub-Inspector Parth Sikdar would look after the New Town police station as officer-in-charge.
