Pranab Mukherjee's Singapore visit from June 18-20

Singapore, June 18: External Affairs Minister, Pranab Mukherjee, will make his first official visit to Singapore during June 18-20, Singapore Foreign Ministry announced today. Mr Mukherjee will be accompanied by External Affairs Secretary (East) Mr N Ravi and other senior officials from the External Affairs Ministry.

During the visit, Mr Mukherjee will call on Singapore President S R Nathan, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong, Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew and Deputy Prime Minister, Co-ordinating Minister for National Security&Minister for Law S Jayakumar.

Singapore Foreign Affairs Minister George Yeo will host a lunch for Mr Mukherjee on June 19 and the External Affairs Minister will meet Singapore Defence Minister Teo Chee Hean at breakfast on June 20.

Besides, Mr Mukherjee will be delivering a public lecture on 'India's Foreign Policy Priorities', jointly organised by the S Rajaratnam School of International Studies and the Institute of South Asian Studies in Singapore.

He will also be present at the Institute of South East Asian Studies' book launch of 'Chalo Delhi', the 12th and final volume of the collected works of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, said the Ministry in a statement.
