Blast kills two at south Lebanon Palestinian camp
SIDON, Lebanon, June 18 (Reuters) A blast, apparently caused by an oxygen canister exploding, killed two people and wounded one on the outskirts of a Palestinian refugee camp in south Lebanon today, security sources said.
They said the blast happened in a tyre shop in the Taamir area at the entrance of Ain al-Hilweh camp near the port city of Sidon.
Taamir is a stronghold of a small Islamist militant group, Jund al-Sham, which clashed with Lebanese troops earlier this month. The wounded man was a Jund al-Sham member, the sources said.
