Kochi, Jun 17 (UNI) Union Minister of State for External Affairs E Ahmed today said three Keralites were still missing in the devastating cyclone that hit Oman recently.

Speaking to reporters here today, Mr Ahmed said Udayan, Binu and Ajith Kumar hailing from Thrissur, Ernakulam and Kozhikode districts respectively were missing.

He said the bodies of Anil Kumar from Palakkad and Mohammad Ali from Kochi, whose body was recovered yesterday, were cremated in Oman.

The Minister said the Oman government was providing rehabilitation assistance to the cyclone survivors, including Indians.

The Indian Embassy had also made arrangements to issue passports for those who lost or damaged them free of cost at the earliest, Mr Ahmed said.

At least 49 people, including Indians, were killed when cyclone Gonu hit the coast of Oman along the Arabian Sea and the Gulf of Oman on June 6 before veering towards Iran.
