Jhansi Lakshmi Pranganam, AP, June 17 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today alleged that the opposition TDP and CPI(M) parties were trying to obstruct development projects.

Addressing a gathering of Congress workers of eight districts after inaugurating a three-day training camp at Kompalli village on the outskirts of the city, Dr Reddy said the TDP, which had not thought of the Pranahita project, was now criticising the government which had taken it up at a cost of Rs 20,000 crore.

He said the government was trying to lift Godavari water going into the sea to the Nagarjuna sagar lake so that the water could be filled up in the tail pond. However, but the TDP was finding fault with it.

Referring to the 'Bhoo Poratam' (Land Struggle) of the CPI(M) the Chief Minister questioned where the need for the party to launch a struggle when the government was distributing land and consructing houses for the poor.

Dr Reddy said the communists were trying to tell the people that they got lands and houses only through their struggle.

''The houses were constructed in the first phase of the 'Indiramma' scheme and these were being distributed to the poor,'' he added.

When the second, third and fourth phases were completed, no poor man would be without shelter, he added.
