Suicide bomber kills over 35 in Kabul: Police

Kabul, June 17: A suicide bomber blew himself up in the middle of the Afghan capital today, killing more than 35 people, a senior police official said.

Afghan police were among the casualties, Ali Shah Paktiawal, chief of Kabul police's criminal branch, said by phone from the scene of the blast outside a provincial government building.

It was the fifth suicide attack in Afghanistan in three days.
