Pochers arrested in Karnataka
Mysore, Jun 17 (UNI) Forest Mobile Squad today arrested two persons for allegedly poaching rabbits and wild cats on the outskirts of the city.
Acting on a tip-off, the squad swooped on the duo identified as Krishna and Siddaiah of Rammanahalli near here, when they were trying to transport the captured wild animals.
Forest officials said that the duo indulged in spreading nets to catch wild animals in K R Nagar taluk and the surrounding forests during the night. They caught wildlife for several months now and sold rabbits at Rs 150 to 200 and Rs 150 for wild cats.
The officials suspect a gang being involved in the poaching incidents.
