Maoist sympathiser arrested
Vijayawada, June 17 (UNI) The city police yesterday arrested a Maoist sympathiser and seized Maoist literature from him.
Speaking to newspersons here today Assistant Commissioner of police L Vijaya Kumar said the former Maoist, K Anand (30) had joined Bellamkonda dalam in 2000 and was involved in several offences including two killings. He was very active in Radical Student's Union (RSU) while studying polytechnic, ACP added.
When he was moving in suspicious maner at Ibrahimpatnam, in the outskirts of the city, police nabbed him, suspecting that he was still continuing links with the Maoists.
The former Maoist, who was presented before media said that he left Maoist's activities three years back, and presently working as a daily wager under a contractor.
