Fake notes deposited in bank

Jamnagar, Gujarat, June 17 (UNI) A complaint has been registered against unknown customers of Central Bank of India, Jamnagar, for depositing fake currency notes with the bank.

In a complaint lodged with the police, Central Bank of India chief manager Dhanmal Ganeshmal Jat said the bank had received fake notes of total face value Rs 3050 from unknown customers between September 5, 2006 to January 9, 2007.

There were a total of 31 such fake notes -- 30 in the denomination of Rs 100 and one in the denomination of Rs 50.
