Congress functionary found murdered in city

Chennai, June 17 (UNI) A body of a Congress functionary, aged 44, was found at North Chennai area here in the wee hours of today.

Police said a passer by noticed the body, with no head, lying near a bus stop in Mullai Nagar area.

As per his information, police rushed to the spot and recovered the headless body.

Later, they recovered the head of the body from a few yards away.

The deceased was identified as Boxer Batch Secretary of the North Chennai District Congress Party, police added.
