3 held in cheating case

Vadodara, June 17 (UNI) Detection Crime Branch sleuths here have arrested three persons in a cheating case.

Police said the three were arrested following a complaint lodged by Harshad Jaisinbhai Patel, a graduate and resident of Sultanpura area of the city last evening.

Harshad, in his complaint, has said he had paid Rs 2.64 lakh to Thakore Manilal Rana who had promised to secure a visa for employment in London.

However, despite several months having elapsed, Harshad did not receive the visa nor was his money refunded. Hence, he lodged a complaint with the police last evening.

Police have arrested Thakore and two of his accomplices Mithal Maheshbhai Shah and his brother Jignesh in this connection.
