Youth nabbed for murdering drunkard father

Akola, June 16 (UNI) A 25-year-old youth was arrested for brutally stabbing his alcoholic father at Balapur tehsil town.

Mohammad Hussain Mohd Kalim was held yesterday for killing his father, Mohammad Kalim Mohd Nazir (50), in the intervening night of June 13-14 at Nava Baidura Ansar Colony here, police said today.

During interrogation, Mohd Hussain confessed to the crime and said his father was a habitual drunkard and he used to sold household utensils to raise money for his habit. On the fateful night, the deceased created a ruckus and beat his wife. Angry over the incident, the accused stabbed him severly, police added.

Police have registered a case of murder against the son.
