Union and Jkhand govt responsible for delay in rail projects:Marandi
Dumka, Jun 16 (UNI) Accusing the Union and Jharkhand governments of slow progress in railway projects operational in Jharkhand, former chief minister Babulal Marandi today said their completion till 2010 would also be an achievement for the state.
Talking to UNI here, Mr Marandi said, during the last parliament session the Union government asserted that poor law and order besides naxal problem in Jharkhand was the main reason behind the delay in the projects.
The projects, operational in several areas including Santhal Pargana and Hazaribagh were targetted to be completed by 2007 but the lackadaisical attitude of the state government in controlling the menace was hindering the projects, Mr Marandi said.
The former CM suggested that the state government should take initiative in this direction to expedite the process of the projects.
