Orissa: Three killed in road accident

Rourkela, June 16: At least three people were killed and several others injured when a private bus carrying them hit a roadside tree near Birtola, about 40 km from here, early this morning.

Official sources said the bus was on its way from Baripada to Rourkela when the accident took place. All the three passengers, including a woman, died on the spot.

The injured were admitted to Ispat General Hospital and Rourkela Government Hospital.

Senior district officials rushed to the spot, the sources added.
