TCS offers placement to 1006 students

Chennai, June 16: IT major Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has offered placements to 1,006 students this year through campus recruitment at Anna University.

According to a company release here, this was the largest placement offer given anywhere in India by the company at a single institute.

The placement programme for the final year students was jointly inaugurated by Anna University Vice Chancellor D Viswanathan and TCS CEO and MD S Ramadorai on June 13.

A total of 2,330 students registered for the test, which included 1270 under graduate students and 1,060 post graduate students.

Of the 1,006 students selected, 668 were graduates and 338 were post-graduates, the release added.
