Six caught for Impersonating in HAU exams
Hisar, June 16 (UNI) Six boys were caught on the charge of impersonation during the entrance examinations for admissions at Haryana Agricultural University here.
About 2700 candidates appeared in the state-level examination conducted by the HAU at five centres on the main campus for a total of 185 seats.
The degree courses for which exams were held included B.V.Sc. and A.H., B.Sc.(Hons) Ag, M.Sc. Food Sciences and Technology, M.Sc.
Biotechnology and M.Sc. Bioinformatics.
Tight security arrangements were made by the varsity administration for smooth and fare conduct of the entrance test.
The Vice-Chancellor, Dr. J.C. Katyal said that six cases of impersonation had been detected during checking by the special squad deputed deputed to cross-check identity of each candidate who had appeared in the exam.
The impersonators, he said, had been handed over to the police for interrogation.
The examination went off smoothly at all centres, he added.
