Sadananda Swami passes away
Udupi, Jun 15 (UNI) Sri Sadananda Swami of Nityanand Ashram at Kanhangad in Kerala died today at Sri Dharmastala Manjunatheshwar Ayurvedic Hospital here.
He was 94. Swamiji was undergoing treatment at the hospital for about two months.
Madhava Padiyar, as he was known earlier, hailing from Udupi, became a staunch disciple of Sri Nityananda Swamiji who founded Nityanand Ashram.
Sri Sadananda Swami had been part of the Ashram for the last 45 years. The Ashram, a major pilgrim centre in Kerala, was visited by several people from across the country and abroad.
The Ashram was carved out of a single stone having 44 caves.
Swamy's mortal remains would be laid to rest at Kanhangad, tomorrow.
